Turn Diet “Failures” into Success
Lose 20lbs in 2 weeks! Six weeks to a flat tummy. Lose 5 pounds today!

We have seen it all, heard it all and fell for it. The dream of a slender, slim body, so close you can feel the warm breeze on your beautifully tan and contoured abs. All you have to do is slash calories to barely a nibble, boot-camp burpees until you vomit and go big or go home. Or worse- the false promise of being able to eat what ever you want and still lose weight.
In the beginning, you were pumped! Surfing Pinterest for your new smaller outfit, looking up Whole30 recipes, cleaning out the junk from your cabinets and killing it in the gym for an hour a day. Thinking- yeah this is the life!
How did it feel to click- Buy Now for that outfit? Is that Whole30 recipe your go to comfort food? And how was your trip to the gym this morning?
Like most of my clients when they booked their strategy session, you probably feel bummed, burnt out, confused and frustrated. Maybe you saw some progress, but it wasn’t long before it faded away, because sticking to your plan was just too much work and you’re already exhausted. Adding one more thing you must do was just too much. And when it got too much you started to let things go…one thing at a time – skipped lunch, stopped at the drive-thru, ate your kids Halloween candy for dinner, skipped the gym, until you were back at square one.
But are you really back at square one? I mean…really?
No! Of course not- you are armed with information. There are no mistakes only feedback. And feedback is the fuel of success- permanent success. Trouble is we have spent so much time doing the same things- or types of things over and over again expecting different results. And as my friend Al, as in Einstein said- Is Cray, and by cray, I mean crazy. You cannot keep doing the same things, expecting different results. It is impossible! To get different results you must make a conscious choice to do things different. And to make smart changes you need to know where you are, what you have already done and get busy adjusting and tweaking your plan.
Smart changes are made with intelligent reasoning, based on experiences, and yes- Feedback. Smart changes are small, incremental, measurable, purposeful and simple. To start you need feedback. Consider these questions to get you started?
What worked?
What change did you enjoy the most?
What change was the easiest and most natural to adopt?
Are you still doing these things?
Yes-Keep these- Start with a win!
No- How can you add them back to your life?
What was the hardest change?
Can you make it simpler, less strict, or adjust this change to fit your life?
If yes- Great, jot it down.
If No- Set it aside, for now and build up to this change.

“Results are less about what we know and more about how we apply our knowledge.”
Now you have a starting point. If that sounds to simple and easy- it is! That is the point. The first step of your journey should be simple and easy, because that is what your subconscious mind enjoys. Think of it as the way to get your mind to say, “Oh! That was easier than I expected. What’s next?” As you begin to experience success with each small step, you become more open to implementing the next logical step.
To help you navigate your journey, here are some tips to remember:
*Start small- only make 2 or 3 incremental changes at a time to help your subconscious mind ease into the transition and reduce resistance.
*Willpower is the wrong tool for the job and it takes over when your SC resists.
*Know where you want to go and why you want to get there. Let your imagination daydream about it and create those mental blueprints. Your mind will create them.
*Stick with your plan for at least 21 days before making adjustments. Allow the time necessary to feel the effects. Be patient!
